Hola! My name is Omar Esquivias, but I go by Chivo, Pinche Chivo, or simply Omar. I am an Industrial Design major with a concentration in Visual Communication, and anything that looks goofy or "cool" on paper, screen, or walls.

Inspiration for me comes from being a kid with no barriers to what I can do. I love having fun with my wacky designs and thinking outside the box, just like Tim Brown, CEO of IDEO, says about the strong relationship between play and creativity in this video. My latino background also has a huge influence on what I do. I am constantly creating creating cultural related pieces that have impacts in both my native country and the latin@s living here in the US. One example of my cultural resounding work is here on my Nopal, Chapulin, and Lucha Libre posters created based on my cultural background.

My short term goal is to graduate from SFSU this Spring 2010, and finally take on a full-time position on ABS Leaning Systems as their Head Illustration and Graphic Designer (in which I am currently working part-time). Later down the road, I want to establish my personal studio and design firm.

SEIS WORDS THAT DESCRIBE ME: Determined (form gf ^_^), silly, leader, caring (from gf, too =] ), humorous, not-normal.
